An impressive Sampler dated 1887, meticulously cross-stitched by Nellie Curnow - she was the sixth child of James W Curnow of Mawgan in Menage, for further details see my 'Miscellaneous' page.Postal History
67/82 Liskeard - 1825 - Letter noted 'Late W Rawles affairs'
from Benj. H Lynes (Liskeard). The address panel has been cut out, so the
addressee is not known. The letter refers to land sold to Mr Couche, a
visit by Lynes to Mr Rawle & his family at Plymouth, to Mrs Rawle & her
family here (Liskeard), and to 3 children Francis, Anne & Harriett, and
sends compliments to Mr & Mrs Wm Ward.
Written on 1 side of paper, signed by Benj. H Lynes - splits in 1 fold.

by Hon. Henry Walter Forbes - Trefusis (Porthgwidden Devoran).
Contains details of settlement in favour of Hon. Henry (as life tenant) and
mortgage of property involving Lord Clinton (Hon. Henry). Hon. Hugh,
Earl Fortescue and Sir Henry Yarde Buller Lopes (Devon) are party to the
agreement as Trustees, and Arthur Francis Forster (Lincolns Inn Fields, Middx) &
Miss Isabella Johnson (Ottershaw, Sy), as mortgagees.

Warren dec'd & adjoining landowners, contains a number of covenants re
working the land, mineral rights & construction of dwelling.
