Hope, Montgomery as security for loan by David & Elizabeth Roberts (Hope) to
George Llewellin (Franckwell, nr Shrewsbury). Includes details of land, 2
advances & provision for redemption.
Large sheet parchment approx. 9"x 27" with decorative initial letter, 2
pendant wax seals (1 with only about 1/3 seal remaining). Signed by
David Roberts, 'mark' of Elizabeth Roberts. Witness signatures of
Charles Boyd, Daniel Pughe, Ric Taylor & Hum. Tomkins. £140
84/253 Frodesley - 1876 - Marriage Settlement between Rev Richard
William Gleadowe & Miss Harriett Emily Gleadowe. Refers to Marriage
Sett (1838) of Harriett's parents - Rev Thomas Littlewood Gleadowe (Roughton,
Lincs) & Miss Harriett Anderson (Cambridge); Settlement made by Harriett in
anticipation of her daughter's wedding; the beneficiaries of the M S.
12 page parchment booklet - written on 10 sides with some dusting to cover.

144/3 - 1653 - Sale and Feoffment of Land at Leighton,
Montgomery by Edmond Redge & Mary his wife to Anne Corbett widow of
Edward Corbett. Includes names & acreage of parcels of land & current
occupiers Gilbert ap Evan, Richard Shone, Edward Thomas.
Large sheet parchment approx. 25"x 26", with decorative initial letter.
Small hole towards bottom of document with loss of odd letter from several
words. 2 seal tags 1 of which has large
pendant wax seal still attached. 1 seal tag has the 'mark' "E R" ,
the other has a 'mark' like a reversed letter "R" on its side. 5 witness
signatures on reverse including Thomas Crosse, Thomas Greene,
Thomas Crosse (different writing), James Wooding. [see

Release for Sale of Land at Hope, Montgomery) by Richard Poole (Gyngroy? Vawre,
Montgomery) to Anne Corbett (Longnor, Shropshire). Details of land. Also
refers to Richard Corbett.
Sheet parchment approx. 20"x 4+" with decorative initial letter . Small
amount of rodent damage to bottom edge, not affecting text. Signed
by Richard Poole, with
pendant wax seal. Witness signatures on reverse Thomas Greene, James

Estate, Worcs. Brief details of lands, purchase price & completion date.
Paper - signed & sealed by Geo Albot & George Whittall. Several small

84/254 Oaken Gates, Wombridge - 1867 - Abstract of Title of Andrew
Peplow (Wellington) to various properties & lands. Details of some
Indentures back to before 1820 but majority of detail relates to
acquisitions by Peplow in the 1840's, & various mortgages between 1854 & 1866,
including loan from John Peplow (Oaken Gates). Includes details of
various properties, sand pit & lands.
31 sheets watermarked paper (1867) - additional notes throughout + coversheet
(which has some dusting & tears). £43
68/22 Oswestry - 1772 - Mortgage of various properties in Oswestry by
Thomas Vernon to Ambrose Gilbert (Shrewsbury). Contains details of
location of properties, and occupiers.
Paper Indenture signed and sealed by Tho Vernon, witnessed by Thos
Lawrence. 2 small tears at top and several small holes in folds. £51
144/2 Stirchley - 1628 - Lease for a year (being first part of Lease /
Release for Sale of Land) by David Pughe (Stirhhley, Salop) to Howell
Jones (Brythdir, Montgomery). Gives names & acreages of property & lands in
Hope, Montgomery, occupied by Bartholomew ap Oliver, Edward Lawrence &
Piers ap Hugh als Bryn.
Sheet parchment approx. 16"x 7" with small stain in centre fold. Signed
by David Pughe, but seal tag & wax seal missing. 4 witness signatures
on reverse, including Francis Davies, Edw Edwardes, Henry

190/33 Tugford - 1777 - Obligation Bond given by Silvanus Jones the elder (Tugford / Shrewsbury) and his sons Silvanus & Thomas Jones (Tugford ) to George Oliver (Cund ? ) refers to Indenture of even date.
